As the Demir family, we are among the first in Göcek to open our home to tourism. Our tradition of hospitality began in our village and took shape in 1987 with Başak Pension, a small and welcoming guesthouse with just four rooms. Opening our doors to sailors arriving from Europe with their yachts laid the foundation for the vision we carry today.

The small pension lovingly built and surrounded by oleanders by our grandfather and grandmother grew over the years with the dedication and guidance of the family’s teacher, Cavit Demir, becoming one of the warmest and most heartfelt places in the region.

In 2012, as our family expanded and guest demand increased, we carried this legacy one step further by transforming the pension into a boutique hotel. On the recommendation of our elder, Prof. Dr. Nurettin Demir, who dedicated his life to education and to his country, we named it “Dedeminn Hotel.” This name reflects both our gratitude and the deep respect we hold for the legacy entrusted to us.

Today, in the heart of Göcek—with its seven marinas welcoming sailors from all around the world—we continue to offer a peaceful, warm, and genuine accommodation experience right by the sea.
